High-Frequency and Pulse Transformers, Chokes

A pulse (high-frequency) transformer is an electromagnetic device designed to convert the parameters (current and voltage) of a pulsed (high-frequency) signal with minimal distortion of its waveform.

A choke is an inductor designed to suppress interference, smooth current ripple, store energy in the magnetic field of the coil or core, and provide high-frequency isolation between sections of an electrical circuit.

High-frequency and pulse transformers, like power transformers, operate with alternating currents. However, their main difference from power transformers is the high frequency of current oscillations and, in the case of pulse transformers, the dependence of the output pulse shape on the transformer’s properties.

Toroidal-core chokes consist of an inductor wound around a metal or ferrite toroidal core. They offer high impedance to alternating current and low resistance to direct current.

CUSTOM MANUFACTURING OF HIGH-FREQUENCY AND PULSE TRANSFORMERS AND CHOKES

YUKON RU LLC manufactures custom two-winding and multi-winding pulse transformers and chokes designed for use in industrial, specialized, and household equipment and devices. Orders for single units are accepted. Products are manufactured according to the customer’s winding or electrical specifications. Development based on provided samples or equivalents is also available. Product design is provided free of charge. Transformers have no restrictions on voltage levels or the number of windings, subject to the dimensions of the bobbin or the inner diameter of the toroid. Pulse transformers and chokes can be made using E-shaped, U-shaped, pot, toroidal, and other types of cores.

Winding is performed on WH-800 layer-winding machines for E-shaped, U-shaped, and pot cores, as well as on RUFF and STW-60 toroidal winding machines for ring cores. The production capacity for high-frequency transformers and chokes is up to 20,000 units per month.

The most commonly used cores and bobbins are kept in stock, allowing free product samples to be manufactured in the shortest possible time.

The warranty period for high-frequency transformers and chokes is one year.

Insulation heat-resistance classes: B (130°C), F (150°C).

– Transformer layers are insulated using PET-E film, PETF-MU (3M) adhesive tape, and varnished cloth.

Moisture protection options: impregnation with ML-92 varnish, impregnation with KP 55-5 compound, or complete compound encapsulation.
